Learning from five years of CAL Neighbourhood Hubs
Between 2020 and 2025, eight areas of Leeds hosted Climate Action Leeds "hubs", where local people, supported by Together for Peace, worked to address climate-related issues which mattered to them.
Some of these groups, for example in Otley, built on work which had already begun, while others started from scratch due to their CAL funding.
Collectively, the hubs achieved an enormous amount during the five-year period, engaging thousands of people in all sorts of activities, events, and conversations.
Some hubs have continued in the same form even after their CAL Lottery funding ended, while others have seen particular projects picked up by other local groups.

Please see below for highlights, learning, and links to ongoing work in these hub areas. Got a question or want to work towards something similar in your neighbourhood? Contact the ongoing hub groups or email hello@climateactionleeds.org.uk
