Clean Energy Leeds is the new community organisation created from the merger between Leeds Community Energy and Alwoodley Community Energy.

The two organisations have merged in order to pool their resources and skills to help deliver clean energy projects with communities all across Leeds.

"We also need a new volunteer Company Secretary - could it be you or someone you know? See below for full details.

"We are currently in our soft launch phase whilst we rebrand, so watch this space to find out about our official launch coming soon!"

Clean Energy Leeds: Local Power, Community Owned.

Clean Energy Leeds is looking for a volunteer Company Secretary.

Our current secretary will be stepping down shortly after our AGM and we are now seeking someone who can give a small amount of time to support this role. It’s an exciting time for CEL as we continue to grow our organisation across Leeds and increase our impact in community energy.

Key responsibilities include:

• Companies House filings, compliance and governance support

• Supporting the board with agendas, papers and meeting coordination

• Updating the shareholder database and responding to queries

• Organising the AGM (venue, speakers, hospitality, agenda and papers)

• Taking minutes and maintaining accurate records

• Maintaining links with partner organisations

• Overseeing folders on Google Drive

Time commitment: Approximately 3-4 hours per month, with some additional time around meetings and the AGM.

Experience: Some experience in administration, governance or organisational support would be helpful, but this role could also suit someone looking to gain governance experience.

This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to a growing organisation working across Leeds to tackle climate change, while developing or applying your governance skills in a supportive environment.
