Arts & Climate week at Imagine Leeds: The Climate Action Hub

The Human Aquarium team, partnering with Climate Action Leeds are taking over the Climate Action Leeds’ city hub from 27 October until 3 November to launch their Deep Water exhibition which considers the effect of single use plastics and climate change on the world's oceans.

Following on from their 2019 exhibition it reflects on the important role of the world's oceans in the air we breathe, the water we drink and the ever increasing extremes in weather with pollution and climate change affecting people, animals and plant life across the world.

Deepwater, a free, family friendly immersive exhibition is curated by Leeds based arts organisation Yorkshire Life Aquatic and contains thought provoking artworks, sound and visual installations and interactive activities developed by local and emerging Leeds Artists and Climate Activists.

There are workshops and opportunities to make art throughout the week, whilst on 31 October Climate Action Leeds activists and partners step in to takes over the space with a packed day of fun and informative workshops where people of all ages can become sustainable fashionistas and craftivists or learn about how we will make our city net zero, nature friendly and socially just.

The exhibition is open every day at Imagine Leeds, 7th Floor City Exchange, Albion Street, Leeds City Centre from 11:00 – 17:00
