About the Event
How do we make our vision of transforming Leeds into a zero carbon, nature friendly, socially just city a reality?Â
This is the crucial challenge Climate Action Leeds is addressing as we work to provide a platform for the people, organisations and communities of Leeds to come together to share, connect and inspire climate action.Â
We warmly invite you to join us online for our city-wide event ‘From Vision to Action’. Taking on Thursday 20th October from 10am - 1pm. The event will be a celebration of the achievements already made by the amazing people of Leeds - a vital step in catalysing our transition from vision to action across the city.
What will it involve?
Throughout the day there will be poems, music, speakers and interactive sessions focused on key areas, including health, work and economy, transport, and others.Â
There’ll be plenty of opportunity for exchanging ideas and forming new networks to energise transformative change across the city as we look to reflect the need for groups with common goals to bring about tangible, community-led change together.Â
Spread the word! Tell your friends, colleagues, community, team mates and anyone else in Leeds (or beyond) - and together let’s achieve our vision of a zero carbon, nature friendly, socially just Leeds a reality.Â
Attend in-person or online
The event is open to everyone and we'd love it if you could join us on the day; but in-person places are limited, so please only book an in-person ticket if you are sure you can attend.Â
To register for an in-person ticket visit our website at https://www.climateactionleeds.org.uk/event-details/in-person-from-vision-to-actionÂ
Inclusivity at the heart!
Our events really are for everyone! We want you to feel welcome, and we actively encourage you to come along and join in, regardless of your background, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, faith, child care situation or location in Leeds.Â
There will be breaks throughout the morning but you are welcome to step away from the Zoom ast any time. There will also be Zoom breakout rooms on the day but please engage with these in a way that feels comfortable for you.Â
If you have any questions, or if there is anything we can do to make attending easier for you (whether this is related to transport, accessibility, child care, financial constraints or anything else), please get in touch with Sam Townson on sam.townson@ourfutureleeds.org. We can help through our Access and Solidarity Fund.Â
