Climate colonialism
Join us for talks, workshops and a film, with the Racial Justice Network
Time & Location
17 Nov 2023, 18:00 – 20:00
Imagine Leeds: the climate action hub, 7th floor, City Exchange, 11 Albion St, Leeds LS1 5ES, UK
About the Event
Education is preparation for reparations. By learning the histories of resistance of colonised people across the world, we understand that the problem started before the industrial revolution. The problem started when people created systems to exploit the earth-people for their gain during colonial times. Those same systems are still standing today.
Want to learn more? Join the Racial Justice Network on the 17th of November at Imagine Leeds as part of Leeds’ International Donut Festival.
We aim to hold a space of compassionate listening about the ongoing conflict in Congo. And to collectively learn what planet repairs means.
