Information about the Library of Things in Headingley from Jed Aitchison
The new Library of Things is open! It's just like a Library but for the kind of stuff you don't use very often, such as DIY, camping, holiday and gardening equipment, and games, costumes, etc.
You can find us at the Headingley Methodist Church (LS6 3HZ), in central Headingley, and we're open 4 - 6pm on Fridays and 1 - 4pm on Saturdays.
We've been open for 3 months now and by my estimates we've saved people over 4 tonnes of carbon and £4,000 so far!
We also accept donations so message us if you think you've got something we'd like or if you want you can volunteer with us too - we've got a number of roles available.
Please check the Library out and borrow instead of buy to save money and the planet. All are welcome so please make a membership and see how the Library can help you with your project, event or just to try something you couldn't before.
Membership is Pay As You Feel (PAYF) and allows you to reserve and borrow items for a week at a time. Please also tell as many people as you can about us so we can help more people save; together we can make a difference.
