Will the rented sector ever go Green: Retrofit in the Private Rented Sector
Time & Location
13 Mar 2024, 17:30 – 19:00
Leeds, Beckett University, Portland Way, Leeds LS1 3HB, UK
About the Event
Rented homes are the poorest performing of all tennures across the UK. Landlords have few incensives to improve their homes when they see little benefit from the energy saving while tennants have fewer incentives when they don't have security in the property. With the UK goverment scrapping its target of EPC - C for the sector, we ask how will these homes ever go green.
This event will bring together experts in the field who are actively developing solutions to tackle these challenges, we'll hear from:
Ceri Batchelder - South Yorkshire Mayrol Combined Authority - Senior Development Manager - Retrofit
Colin Munro - Director of Wrapt Homes - Start up building warmth into existing homes
David Rabee & Ben Schuldenfrei - Co-Founders of Factored - providing sustainable landlord financing.
