About the Event

Join us in Trustees’ Week for a free face to face event to explore how trustees can better understand and share how they can lead their organisations to be more climate friendly and accountable.

This is a local event for Leeds based small charities, delivered by Voluntary Action Leeds, as part of a national conference for Trustees’ Week coordinated by NVCO. You will take part in 2 interactive workshops to discuss key issues facing trustees in 2023:

  • Climate Action: How can trustees take meaningful action to make their organisation more green and sustainable?
  • Accountability: how can trustees ensure their organisation is transparent and accountable (e.g. to its members, community, volunteers), and what processes can you put inplace to ensure accountability.

Our event is one of many similar events happening across the country, co-ordinated by NCVO. You will have the opportunity to learn and share ideas with like-minded peers, and these discussions will feed into a national, online conference held on the final day of Trustees’ Week (12-1pm on Friday 10th November) which you will also be able to attend.

We particularly welcome trustees/management committee members of small charities/community organisations and culturally diverse led organisations in Leeds.

This will be a free event with light refreshments provided. Fidn out more and book your spot by visiting the event booking page.
