About the Event
Everyone can contribute to tackling the climate crisis and making the world a greener, safer and fairer place!
Organisations and groups with stalls at Otley Green Fair can give information and advice, as well as helping you to make decisions about how you can become more active and involved in aid of the well-being of the planet. There will also be stalls featuring local crafts and a raffle with some great prizes. There will be a variety of workshops for adults and children.
The café will be open serving our special Green Fair menu of vegetarian and vegan food as well as Fair Trade drinks and snacks.
Activities confirmed:
Rainbow Morris side dancing in the courtyard before and after lunch. All welcome to join in.
Woodcarving with Dan Ward. 10am to 12 noon in the courtyard. Age 7+. Children need responsible helper.
‘Come and carve a magical mushroom. A workshop for learning/practicing some basic whittling skills (all levels of ability welcome), to create a small wooden mushroom that can be displayed on a stand or worn as a pendant. All materials provided, but please feel free to bring your own bit of wood if it means something special to you.’

Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry focusing on a small moment in time. Using a very short structure, it’s a perfectly formed opportunity to express how you feel about the world around you.’
Jo Cremins is a published author and will help you to nurture your imagination and create your own poem.

Decorate your own calico bag with Vickie Orton 12.30pm to 3pm in the foyer
Suitable for any age.
Use vegetables to make cheerful prints on your bags! Small charge for materials.
