About the Event
Join Climate Action Leeds and friends for an exciting launch event for the new venue Imagine Leeds: the climate action hub.
Imagine Leeds is a space where people can come together to work on the climate, nature and social crises, which require great collective efforts for us to overcome. We have been setting up this venue for the last two months with the help of many volunteers and environmentally-conscious organisations from across sectors.
Our vision is to create a permanent venue where different sectors can work together, where the public can come and learn more about Leeds and the challenges it faces, and where we can collectively engage in effective action on climate, nature and social justice. We need you and your organisation to help make this a reality.
We have already hosted workshops, skill sharing events, meetings, and craft sessions, and we are just getting started! We want Imagine Leeds to become a central planning and action hub to tackle the climate emergency and build a community based city wide movement for climate justice.
We would love you to come and join us as we celebrate the launch of Imagine Leeds. We’ll be hearing from key institutions in the city about how they plan to contribute to its success, including Tom Riordan, Chief Executive at Leeds City Council, Hannah Bailey, Chief Officer at Voluntary Action Leeds, Prof Nick Plant, Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research & Innovation at the University of Leeds, Arran Taylor, Partner at Deloitte and Chair of Yorkshire Climate Action Coalition, and Andy Goldring, City Hub Lead at Climate Action Leeds.
Come and enjoy the fantastic panoramic views of Leeds and help us imagine, and then create a sustainable future for our great city.
