About the Event
How do we make our vision of transforming Leeds into a zero carbon, nature friendly, socially just city a reality?
This is a challenge Climate Action Leeds is trying to address as we work to provide a platform for people, organisations and communities from across the city to come together to share, connect and inspire climate action.
If you are interested in helping take the vision for a zero carbo, nature friendly, socially just Leeds to action then this is the event for you.
Join Climate Action Leeds and friends at our Climate Assembly 'From Vision to Action' on Thursday 20th October from 10am for a day of celebrating and looking forward at how we can catalyse the transition from vision to action across Leeds.
Throughout the day there will be poems, music, speakers and interactive sessions focusing on key areas such as health, work and economy, transport, and others. There'll be plenty of opportunity for exchanging ideas and forming new networks to energise transformative change as we look to reflect the need for groups with commons goals to bring about tangible, community-led change together.
There'll be a tasty veggie and vegan lunch provided by Scoffs too!
The event is open to everyone and we'd love it if you could join us on the day. In-person places are limited, so please only book an in-person ticket if you are sure you can attend.
If you would instead like to attend the morning session online, from 10am - 1pm, please register here: ...
Accessibility and Inclusion at the heart
Our events really are for everyone! We want you to feel welcome, and we actively encourage you to come along and join in, regardless of your background, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, faith, child care situation or location in Leeds.
The venue is fully accessible with an accessible entrance, lift between floors and accessible toilet.
We have arranged a quiet space in the City Museum and the galleries remain open to the public throughout the day so there is space for those who feel they may need a break.
If you have any questions, or if there is anything we can do to make attending easier for you (whether this is related to transport, accessibility, child care or anything else), please get in touch with Sam Townson on sam.townson@ourfutureleeds.org. We can help through our access and solidarity fund.
