Developing a Climate Risk Assessment for West Yorkshire Community Stakeholder Webinar

CAG Consultants is preparing a Climate Risk Assessment for the West Yorkshire Combined Authority to better understand the climate risks facing the region, such as risks to buildings and communities from heat and flooding. A Climate Risk Assessment will also identify priorities for building a more climate-resilient West Yorkshire, such as areas to introduce natural flood management systems (examples include leaky dams and tree planting) to help protect neighbourhoods from flooding. The Climate Risk Assessment will provide an evidence base to support future planning, investment and decision-making across the region. It will examine how climate change could affect people, places, services, infrastructure and ecosystems.
