About the Event
Over the next few months Climate Action Leeds and friends are setting up a new city hub space in Leeds, one that is part of the national Climate Emergency Centres network. It aims to be a space where together we can help to create a zero carbon, nature friendly, socially just Leeds by the 2030s.
This space would be used to engage people through activities, workshops, exhibitions, events, talks, group sessions, play, and more. It will be a place for public engagement, as well as for strategic workshops and collective planning.
It will have an accessible ground floor and a decent sized workshop space. It may also offer office space and co-working space that groups from across the city can use, depending on the building we are able to get.
Would you, and groups your involved with, like to help make a space that changes Leeds for the better? Your involvement could be anywhere from putting up a poster about your work, running workshops and events, to helping to co-manage the programme of events and being an integral member of the team.
These two workshops will give us chance to explain more about our ambitions, plans, and progress so far. Do join us for one of these two interactive sessions, so we can work together to co-produce a really successful space in Leeds.
To help us get a feel for you do, please bring a banner / pop-up display / leaflets / posters / props, if you have any, so that we can learn a bit more about each other and get the conversation going.
Note: there are two time slots available for this workshop, 3 - 5pm and 6 - 7.30pm, we hope you can make one of them.
