About the Event
"Harehills Neighbourhood Forum (HNF) and CADENCE (Consequences of Adaptation for DEmocratic AdvaNCE) invite you to a FREE event to highlight concerns relating to heat risk in Harehills.
"Research from University College London and Leeds Beckett University has shown that climate change is placing Harehills at risk of being 5% hotter than other parts of Leeds, due to the type of housing and the high population density of the neighbourhood.
"We want this event to focus on the growing risk of heat in Harehills, particularly for residents in traditional back-to-back/terraced housing.
"We want to encourage members of the community, Leeds City Council and third-sector organisations to contribute to a panel presentation followed by a Q&A session to consider heat risks and adaptations for residents and businesses in Harehills. We would like a number of representatives to share their knowledge, skills and experiences to facilitate a lively and informative discussion.
